LowTop Sneakers

Our Low-Top Sneaker class puts you in the driver’s seat.  You will choose the sneaker to be made prior to arrival.  When you come into the studio all materials for that shoe (pattern, leather, marking materials, laces, grommets, etc…) will be ready at each station.  You will mark and cut the pattern, liners, and support materials then prep it for assembly.  While at lunch one of our shoemakers will sew your upper and prepare it for you to complete. Once you’re back you’ll insert the heel supports and observe the lasting process.  At this point it will be ready to receive the stitched outsole, finishing it with the sock liner and laces.

Approximate Class Time: 6 hours; lunch to be served

HighTop Sneaker Class

Our High-Top Sneaker class will be similar to the low-top class except…it’s a high-top.

Sneaker Customizing

With our Custom Crusted Class you will choose a style of our crusted shoes prior to arrival.  What is a “crusted shoe”?  The shoe is made from leather that has been tanned and dried but has not yet been dyed – basically a blank shoe.  The shoe will be assembled except for the sole.  Using a variety of dyes and leather paints, you’ll make the sneaker your own.  Once the paint has dried you’ll seal the uppers and prepare to have the sole stitched on.

Approximate Class Time: half day
